IntroductionInfantile myofibroma is a rare tumor of myofibroblastic origin that can affect soft tissue, bones, or internal organs. The aim of the current study is to report a rare case of a solitary infra-orbital infantile myofibroma.
Case presentationAn 11-month-girl presented with progressive swelling of the left infra-ocular region for two weeks. On examination, there was a well-defined swelling with a localized border that was firm, non-mobile, tender, fixed to the underlying bone, and non-adherent to the superficial skin. Under general anesthesia, the right infraorbital mass was excised. The wound was closed by layers, and the histopathological examination revealed a 3 cm myofibroblastic mass that invaded the margins at multiple spots.
ConclusionInfraorbital myofibroma is an extremely rare type of myofibroma. Excision with primary closure is the definitive management therapy.

IntroductionPulmonary sequestration is a rare condition accounting for 0.1% to 6% of all congenital lung malformations. The correlation with Congenital Pulmonary Airway Malformation (CPAM) type 1 has not been adequately elucidated.
Case presentationFrom routine fetal sonographic screening, a 20-day-old female baby's ultrasound revealed hydronephrosis with enlargement above the left kidney. Magnetic resonance imaging during a follow-up appointment uncovered a left suprarenal lesion of approximately 30 mm, which was not suspected to be adrenal neuroblastoma. After resection, histological analysis was consistent with pulmonary sequestration and confirmed the connection with CPAM type 1.
ConclusionSurgery remains the only effective therapeutic choice for intra-abdominal pulmonary sequestration. The definitive diagnosis is confirmed through histological examination.

IntroductionBartter syndrome is a rare genetically inherited salt-wasting disorder that is typically seen in children and neonates with association to many morbidities. We present a case of Bartter syndrome in an adult who showed excellent response to treatment.
Case presentationThe patient was a 23-year-old male presenting with polyuria, polydipsia, nocturia, and fatigue, especially within the lower limbs for the last two years but no history of vomiting. He was clinically diagnosed with Bartter syndrome and received conservative management with a good response.
ConclusionBartter syndrome is a rare disease. It has a wide range of clinical presentations. It can be diagnosed clinically and confirmed by genetic testing. Conservative management has a good clinical outcome.

IntroductionChatGPT and Bard are large language models, both are artificial intelligence designed to understand natural language and generate human-like responses to text-based inputs. The aim of this study is to assess the ChatGPT and Bard Recommendations for the general populations; general practitioners and pediatricians for reducing the burden of meningitis outbreaks.
MethodsWe asked ChatGPT PLUS and Bard, on 5 April 2023 for their advice and recommendations in controlling the meningitis outbreak, the same question was repeated three times, one for the general population, one for the general practitioners, and the last one for the pediatricians. The responses were recorded, compared assessed.
ResultsChatGPT and Bard replied to the three questions with general advice including early recognition of the disease, insisting on the vaccination, strict hygiene, infection control strategy, and staying up to date about the latest developments regarding the outbreak.
ConclusionChatGPT and Bard have the potential to be valuable tools for the general population during outbreaks of infectious diseases. However, advanced information for professionals might be impossible to be provided by ChatGPT PLUS and Google Bard at the time being.

IntroductionReports regarding severe neonatal hypertriglyceridemia are scarce, and there is no consensus regarding its management. This report describes the successful management of a neonatal case of hypertriglyceridemia managed successfully.
Case presentationA 2-day-old male neonate born to consanguineous parents presented with yellow skin discoloration. The mother had moderate hypertriglyceridemia. While testing for jaundice, the neonate’s blood was noticed to be milky. Blood lipid profile test showed highly elevated triglyceride (1,000-10,000 mg/dl), very-low-density lipoprotein level (1,800 mg/dl), and low-density lipoprotein (206 mg/dl) levels, and a low level of high-density lipoprotein (12 mg/dl). Further laboratory diagnosis revealed apolipoprotein A1 deficiency (39 mg/dl). The patient was put on a statin tablet of 0.25 mg twice daily and a formula diet (Monogen – Nutricia) low in triglycerides and rich in medium-chain triglycerides, and was given 1 ml Omega-3 syrup twice daily. After a dramatic decline in serum level, he was put on a 50% medium-chain-triglyceride formula and Gemfibrozil triglyceride-lowering agent.
ConclusionEarly diagnosis of severe hypertriglyceridemia in the neonatal period aids in the early initiation of treatment and prevention of severe complications. Conservative treatment via dietary modifications and supplementation can be associated with satisfactory outcomes.
